Return and Refund Policy

Michaels Floats ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company") is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction with every handcrafted inflatable pool float purchased through our online store at michaelsfloats.store. Due to the handmade, made-to-order nature of our products, the following Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases. By placing an order with Michaels Floats, you ("the Customer," "you," or "your") acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below.

1. Made-to-Order Nature of Products

All Michaels Floats products are individually handcrafted to order. Each inflatable pool float is manufactured by hand over an approximate three (3) week production period following order confirmation and payment processing. Due to this bespoke, made-to-order manufacturing process, production of your specific product begins promptly upon order confirmation. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept that:

(a) Your order constitutes a binding commitment to purchase the product(s) selected;
(b) Production of your custom handcrafted item begins within twenty-four (24) hours of order confirmation;
(c) Once production has commenced, your order cannot be cancelled, modified, or altered in any way;
(d) Each product is individually handcrafted and may exhibit minor variations in appearance, color saturation, seam placement, and printed artwork positioning that are characteristic of handmade goods and do not constitute defects.

2. Refund Eligibility

Customers may request a refund subject to the following conditions:

(a) 30-Day Refund Window: Refund requests must be submitted within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of delivery confirmation as recorded by the shipping carrier. Refund requests submitted after the 30-day period has elapsed will not be honored under any circumstances.

(b) Eligible Reasons for Refund: Refunds will only be granted for the following reasons:
- The product arrives with a manufacturing defect that renders it non-functional (e.g., air leaks at seam joints, valve malfunction, structural failure upon initial inflation);
- The product received is materially different from the product description and images displayed on our website at the time of purchase;
- The product arrives with significant physical damage caused during transit that was not caused by the Customer or a third party after delivery.

(c) Non-Eligible Reasons for Refund: The following do not qualify for a refund:
- Change of mind, buyer's remorse, or dissatisfaction with the product after purchase;
- Minor cosmetic variations inherent to handmade products, including but not limited to slight color differences, minor print alignment variations, small surface imperfections, or variations in vinyl texture;
- Damage caused by improper use, over-inflation, exposure to sharp objects, chemical exposure, prolonged UV exposure beyond normal use, or failure to follow care instructions;
- Damage caused by the Customer, household members, pets, or any third party after delivery;
- Products that have been used in chlorinated water, saltwater, or any body of water prior to the refund request, unless the claim pertains to a manufacturing defect discovered upon first use;
- Dissatisfaction with delivery timeframes, provided the delivery was completed within the estimated shipping window communicated at the time of purchase.

3. Refund Process

To initiate a refund request, the Customer must:

(a) Contact us via email at michaelsfloats@outlook.com within the 30-day refund window;
(b) Include your order number, full name, and a detailed description of the issue;
(c) Provide photographic or video evidence clearly demonstrating the defect or damage;
(d) Await confirmation from our team before returning any product. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or processed.

Upon approval of a refund request:

(a) We will provide a return shipping address and instructions;
(b) The Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to our manufacturing error;
(c) The product must be returned in its original condition, deflated and cleaned, within fourteen (14) calendar days of return authorization;
(d) Refunds will be processed within ten (10) business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned product;
(e) Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We do not issue refunds via alternative payment methods, store credit, cash, or check.

4. Exchanges

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different product, you must first complete the refund process for the original item and then place a new order, which will be subject to the standard three (3) week production period.

5. Damaged or Defective Products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery at michaelsfloats@outlook.com with photographic evidence. We will assess the damage and, at our sole discretion, either issue a full refund, send a replacement product (subject to a new production period), or offer a partial refund commensurate with the extent of the damage.

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

We strongly encourage Customers to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their financial institution. Filing a chargeback without first attempting resolution through our customer service process may result in the suspension of your account and the denial of future orders. We reserve the right to contest any chargeback that we determine to be unwarranted based on the terms of this policy.

7. Binding Agreement

By completing a purchase on michaelsfloats.store, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Return and Refund Policy in its entirety. This policy constitutes a binding agreement between you and Michaels Floats and forms part of the overall Terms of Service governing your use of our website and purchase of our products.
